At long last, we got our hands on the much-talked about Xiaomi Mi3, which has finally made its presence known in Malaysia.

Xiaomi has been growing from strength to strength for the last few years, with its revenue doubling for the last 3 years. It’s success and improvement potential was such that the Chinese company managed to attract Google’s Hugo Barra, who has the experience to bring Xiaomi as brand to a lot of markets, not just for smartphones Mi3 and entry-level Redmi 1S but also a bunch of other devices such as the Xiaomi Mi Pad.

The Mi3 looks a lot like a Lumia from Nokia handset as first glance, but when you hold it younr mitts you start to notice the subtle variations like the fact it’s thinner than any Lumia and it has a soft-metal back.

Above the screen there's a front-facing camera, while main (rear) camera is located in the top left like on the iPhone. Also on the front, below the screen, are backlit capacitive buttons.

Xiaomi itself claims the body is made of "internal magnesium alloy structure encased in three layers of graphite," and it definitely is a pleasure to grip unlike many other Androiid phones of similar from factor.
