Sony is reportedly planning to launch the clamshell S2 or as it now known as the Sony Tablet P by September. And Engadget managed to find out more the hardware specs for both the Tablet P and the Tablet S. The Android 3.2 (Honeycomb) Tablet P comes with a dual-core Tegra 2 processor under the hood, with 512MB RAM, 4GB of storage and 2GB microSD card out of the box. There's connectivity over 4G and WiFi. And all that is packed inside a 370 grams chassis.
The much more conventional looking WiFi only Tablet S weights in 600g, 1GB RAM and will be available 16GB or 32GB versions. Both the Tablet P and the Tablet S will share Nvidia Tegra 2 processors and 0.3-megapixel front-facing camera. Still no word on price or exact launch dates but retailers have reportedly been told to standby for more information soon.
